Borderlands Badass Rank Bug Fixed on Xbox 360 and PS3

Gearbox Software has finally fixed the serious badass rank bug in Borderlands 2 that we reported way back in September, affecting PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms. This problem could leave users feeling very frustrated, with perhaps some of the more vocal ones throwing their controllers at their big screen TVs… This fix is included in a megapatch (for Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms only) improving and fixing many other aspects of the game. Gearbox describe the fix simply, like this: “Modified profile behavior to better protect Badass Rank and related data.” So, does “better protect” mean that it could still happen? There’s masses of other improvements for missions, equipment, challenges and general areas, totalling around 60 in all.

Interestingly, or perhaps worryingly, the changelog for the PC version doesn’t include the badass fix and is only 6 lines long! So, does that mean that Gearbox couldn’t be bothered to apply as much time and effort to fix the PC version as the console versions? All three changelogs can be viewed at the link below.
