Zotac Has GeForce GTX 670 TwinCooler On The Way

By

ZOTAC has an all new graphics card in the works, the Geforce GTX 670 Twincooler. This new non-reference GPU will use a custom top-flow cooling solution in order to make the unit 60mm shorter then the reference GTX 670. This should place the GTX 670 Twincooler around 177mm in total length compared to 240mm of the reference GTX 670. The cooler itself will use dual 80mm fans which will blow down onto two dense aluminum fin heatsinks using copper heatpipes, which are used to cool the memory, VRM and GK104 GPU. Not content to bring a super short powerhouse to market, ZOTAC has opted to overclock the card to 954 MHz on the GPU with the boost clock getting pushed to 1033 MHz and the 2GB of memory will get a boost to 6208 MHz, compare that to the reference clock speeds of 915/980/6008 MHz. The card will be powered by two 6-pin PCIe power connectors. Display connectivity will consist of two dual-link DVI, one HDMI and one DisplayPort. The card will launch on June 20th.
