Unboxing the Zalman CNPS9900 MAX

The Zalman CNPS9900 MAX comes in a sturdy box with a window cut out that shows the cooler.

The back and side of the box show the features, specifications and diagram explaining the composite heatpipes.

When you first open the box you find all the accessories in a baggy in a cardboard tray.

Under the tray is the CNPS9900 MAX in a plastic clamshell.

Since the front and back halves of fins are not connected Zalman wraps the outside of the fins with a hard plastic support. This cradles both sets of fins and also keeps the fan from spinning in the packing. It was easy to remove by hand and did not require to be cut off.
