Zalman CNPS11X Tower CPU Cooler Review
The Temperature Testing Results
With the system running at stock speeds the CNPS11X comes in at 57.25*C on low, and 56.5*C at full speed. On Low the CNPS11X beat stock cooling by 22.25 degrees, and actually on par with its sibling, the CNPS9900 Max on low. At full speed the CNPS11X was 23 degrees better than stock cooling and only 2 degrees behind the first place air cooler.
With the system running a mild overclock at 3.5GHz, the CNPS11X on low came in at 63*C, on par with the Thermolab Trinity on low and the Noctua NH-C14 with its ULNA adaptor. With the CNPS11x at full speed it came in at 59.5*C and came in at the top of the chart edging out the Prolimatech Super Mega and the Antec Kuhler H2O 920.
With the system running at 4GHz the CNPS11X is still doing very well. Running at full speed the CNPS11X came in at 70.25*C. That is on par with the Prolimatech Super Mega and only few degrees behind the Antec Kuhler H20 920. The CNPS11X did the job quieter than the Super Mega, and WAY quieter than the Kuhler 920.
