XFX Radeon HD 6850 Black Edition Video Card Review
The Test System
All tests were performed on a freshly formatted system using the latest Catalyst 11.1 drivers from AMD. All system drivers and the BIOS were all up
to date. The memory was run in dual channel with 8-8-8-24 1T timings and nothing was overclocked; everything was running at stock speeds.
The Test System
- Processor: AMD Phenom 2 965 3.4 GHz
- Motherboard: MSI 790FX GD-70
- Memory: 4 GB Kingston Hyper-X DDR3 1600 Dual Channel
- Video Card: Click Here
- Hard Drive: Western Digital SiliconEdge Blue 128 GB SSD
- Cooling: Corsair H50
- Power Supply: Corsair HX750W
- Chassis: White NZXT Phantom
- Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
Disclaimer: Although the GPU-Z screen shot shows me as using the Catalyst 10.12 drivers, they are in fact the 11.1a drivers. They are displayed as 10.12 because of a known problem in the new 11.1 and 11.1a driver that displays the wrong driver version. So just to be clear all of the tests and benchmarks were run using the 11.1a driver with the exception of the overclocking section where I used the 11.2 drivers because I had already upgraded to them before I decided to add an overclocking page to the review.
