XFX R7950 Double Dissipation Video Card Review

Tomb Raider (2013)

Marketed as a reboot of the Tomb Raider series, it was released in March 2013. It is an action-adventure game with a much younger female lead character, Lara Croft. It establishes the origins of Lara Croft for a second time, putting her on an island where she much save her friends and escape while be hunted. Played in a third person perspective, survival is key, with elements of exploration and combat.

Running Tomb Raider at 1920×1080 resolution, with the graphics quality set to Ultimate. While TressFX Hair is a new technology developed in partnership between AMD and Crystal Dynamic, it was enabled to show the difference between the the HD7870 and R7950. This puts the GTX 560Ti at a disadvantage since it does not support this physics system.

Benchmark Results: The XFX R7950 received an average FPS of 49 in the built-in benchmark. While the HD7870 received 39.2, a 20% performance difference.
