The XFX GTX 260 Black Edition features the reference Nvidia heatsink and is therefore clad in an aluminum and plastic sheathing.
The GTX 260 supports SLI and Tri-SLI with other GTX 260 GPUs. For SLI to work you need a board that either features an Nvidia chipset or features Nvidia GT200 PCIe switches that permit SLI functionality.
The card has two 6-pin power connectors on the top of the card. XFX recommends at a minimum a 630 watt power supply for single-card installations and a 680 watt power supply for SLI installations.
There are two dual-link DVI connectors along with the HDTV connector. These DVI connectors can use adapters for HDMI and VGA connections.
Popping the top off reveals a black PCB with 7 GDDR3 modules on the backside.
Flipping it over shows another 7 GDDR3 modules, a 3 phase power system for the core, and a 2 phase power system for the memory. The integrated heatsink for the GT 200 core is enormous and dominates the PCB.
