X2 Saturn 5.1 Gaming Headset Review
Looking around the X2 Saturn
Nearly all the images on this page show the Saturn powered on and with the red LEDs on the earcups and microphone illuminated. The exception goes to the one shot where it is visibly and deliberately unplugged. This is a full-sized circumaural headset with closed back earcups. The assembly is almost entirely constructed from glossy black ABS plastic.
The Saturn is a true surround sound headset and each earcup has three drivers for center, front, and rear channels.
The nearly 3m (10 ft) long USB cable is braided and comes with a cable tie. The inline controller is placed about 32 inches from the headset end of the cable.
The inline controller can adjust individual volume output for each of the channels as well as the master volume. The microphone can also be muted by a sliding switch on the controller.
The headband length is fully adjustable. Leather wrapped padding on the headband helps to ease some of the pressure of this already lightweight headset.
The microphone is not detachable or retractable in any way, but it is flexible and can be bent in any direction. Muting the microphone on the inline controller will turn off the red LED at the tip.
