World of Warcraft is Free to Play up to Level 20

Blizzard Entertainment has eliminated the free 14 day trail period in favor of a new beginner system called World of Warcraft Starter Edition. The massively multiplayer online role playing game is now free to play up to Level 20, a person will then be able to continue playing at level 20 or purchase the full game. The Starter Edition does come with restrictions though: Gamers will only be able to amass 10 gold; have their trade skills capped at 100; and will be unable to trade via the auction house, mailbox, or player to player. The Free-To-Play model from Blizzard comes just in time as World of Warcraft: Cataclysm also received a major content patch called Rage of the Firelands. The patch includes various user interface tweaks and new content such as a new raid, new quest, and the beginning of a new player vs. player season.

Additionally, Blizzard is selling both World of Warcraft Classic along with The Burning Crusade expansion together for $19.99 as part of a new digital Battle Chest. Plus, if you only purchased the original WoW and none of the expansions, Blizzard is also giving you access to The Burning Crusade for free now as well.
