Wolfenstein: The New Order PC System Requirements – Core i7 and 64-Bit Only

By

Bethesda announced the PC system requirements for Wolfenstein: The New Order, that are worth taking a look at if you wanted to play this upcoming game title that due out on May 20th, 2014 (pre-order is available on STEAM). The game developer doesn’t appear to have listed the minimum or recommended settings and simply said that these are the “These are the system requirements to deliver the PC game as it was intended to be experienced” at what they say is 60FPS.

Wolfenstein: The New Order PC System Requirements:

64-bit Windows 7/Windows 8
Intel Core i7 or equivalent AMD processor
4 GB System RAM
50 GB free storage space
NVIDAI GeForce 460 or AMD Radeon HD 6850 graphics card or higher
High Speed Internet Connection
Steam account and activation required

We think that Bethesda might have been a bit too aggressive with these system requirements though as you likely won’t need an Intel Core i7 processor to run this game title. The Intel Core i5 processor series is a very popular CPU and chips like the Core i5 2500K should have no problem running this game title. To say that an Intel Core i7 processor is absolutely required is just plain wrong. Also, what generation Intel Core i7 is needed as there are several generations now going back nearly half a decade (Think Intel Core i7-970 from July 2010. What does Bethesda consider the AMD equivalent to the Intel Core i7 processor these days anyway?

Wolfenstein The New Order

In Wolfenstein: The New Order you play the role of B.J. Blazkowicz and run around taking out Nazis. Bethesda released a new video that shows players can choose to finish a mission either in stealth mode or go all mayhem. Check out some game footage of stealth versus mayhem below.
