Windows 8 Preview Usage Double That of Windows 7 Beta

Microsoft has announced, through its official Twitter account for building Windows 8, that the Windows 8 preview has twice as many users as Windows 7 beta did at the same point in time. No specifics are mentioned, except to say that “millions” are using it every day. It seems that this success is happening despite many people not taking too kindly to the loss of the Start menu and having to use the Metro interface instead. It remains to be seen how well the final product is received.
