WiFi Hacker Sentenced to 18 Years In Prison For Hacking Neighbor
Seems 46 year old Barry Ardolf truly did not like his neighbors. He hacked their Wifi router in 2008 and spent the next 2 years posing as his neighbor and sending emails that contained sexually suggestive language, some containing images of child pornography to his neighbors co-workers. He even went as far as sending threats to Vice President Joe Biden. Following an investigation it was discovered that had been unknown device on the home network, after a little packet sniffing, it led the investigators to Ardolf.
Ardolf, 46, pleaded guilty last December to using his computer skills to first steal his neighbors’ identities and then attempt to destroy their careers and reputations. Now, Ardolf will be locked up until well after the Kostolniks’ children are grown.
