Watch Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Technology Summit Today
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Technology Summit starts today (Tuesday, December 5th, 2017) and we expect Qualcomm to show off a number of things that they have been working on. The good news is that you don’t have to travel to Hawaii to be at the event as the company will be live-streaming it! The keynote kicks off this morning at 10:30 a.m. PT (1:30 p.m. ET) on its website.
Qualcomm announced last month that it would be holding its second annual Snapdragon Technology Summit, but stopped short of saying exactly what would be disclosed. The only teaser was this statement in its press release:
“This years Snapdragon Technology Summit will feature an inside look at the latest innovations built into Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile Platforms, along with demonstrations that exhibit upcoming technologies and advancements that will continue to shape the way we use mobile devices, always connected PCs and other future technologies.”
Some believe the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 will be unveiled at at the Technology Summit in Hawaii along with the announcement of some of the upcoming flagship phones that will be using the Snapdragon 845 SoC (System-on-a-Chip). We will be watching closely yo see if any Mircosoft Windows 10 devices will be announced using the Snapdragon 845. Microsoft and Qualcomm have promised to launch laptops running the Snapdragon 835 SoC by the end of 2017, so maybe we’ll see some new Qualcomm powered laptops today alongside some of the phones. If there are any laptop announcements we expect ASUS, HP, and Lenovo would be the key players to watch.
The stream for the second annual Qualcomm Technology Summit can be watched by heading here. If we find something to embed we’ll place it in this post as the time gets closer to the event.
