US Government warns of paid auto-surfing

Any site that has a popular forum is at risk of getting spammers or posting bots to register and advertise for whatever. Over at the LR Forums we have been dealing with this since the forums went online! Luckily, we have great mods and admins that these spamming ‘auto-posting’ users get deleted within just a few hours of when they were created. However, in case we miss one, beware of this warning!
MARCH 02, 2006 (NETWORK WORLD) – The Securities and Exchange Commission this week issued a warning about “paid autosurfing” schemes on the Internet, noting that offers that sound too good to be true probably are.
