Upgrading from Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 to Core i7-4770K

LAN Speed Test
Both motherboards have integrated gigabit LAN adapters. Just for the fun of it, I wanted to see if any one performed better than the other. My entire home is wired with Cat5e which terminates to a patch panel, and then hooks up to a gigabit Netgear switch.
Benchmark Results: The ASUS P5E’s Marvell88E8056 PCIe Gigabit LAN adapter seemed to fall on its face with the 1 MB writes, but it showed its true performance with a larger packet size. It was definitely a bit slower than the GIGABYTE Z87X-UD4H Intel GbE LAN adapter.
