Upcoming Office 2013 Application Icons Revealed

By

About a month ago, the logo for Microsoft Office 2013 was revealed, having a somewhat stark, simple, angled style in keeping with the new Windows 8 and Metro style look. Now, the icons for OneNote and Excel have also been revealed by LiveSide, also having this same stark, angled look.

The icons for each version of Office all look distinct from each other, but often keep certain things the same between versions. The colours are one example of this, so OneNote retains purple and Excel green, with the letters ‘N’ & ‘X’ present in the Office 2010 versions having been retained here as well. Office 2013 is due to go into public beta very soon, so we won’t have to wait long before the icons and the rest of this software are revealed in all its glory.

We expect the Office 2013 Preview (or more commonly know as the public beta) to be made available very soon. Previous rumors indicated that it might be released as soon as next week, but of course nothing has been officially confirmed by Microsoft.
