Outside The Ultra UPS

The outside of the Ultra UPS is clean and simple, which is something I like. The front of the UPS has nothing more than a power button on the top right corner and the display screen located in the center.

On the back of the Ultra UPS is where the magic happens! Our test model, the Ultra 2000VA 1200W backup UPS w/ AVR features six recepticals, one USB and a pair of RJ-45 compatible jacks for Ethernet network surge protection. The UPS can protect up to 4 devices at one time when the black recepticals are used. The two white recepticals are for surge protection only.

When the UPS is plugged in the front display screen shows the line voltage, battery level, and mode that the unit is in.

One other thing that should be looked at before we move on is the bundle that comes with the Ultra Products 2000VA UPS. The user’s manual, UPSMON software, USB cable, phone cable and power cable all come with the UPS. The only gripe that i had with the bundle is the color of the cables versus the black UPS housing. With the supplied cables you’d have black, white and beige cabled running out of a black box. I like things to color cordinate and one color (black) would look better in the office.
