Two New Dota 2 Heroes Coming Soon
Fans of the Valve game Dota 2 will be thrilled to hear that a pair of new heroes are coming soon that you will get to play. One of the heroes is a swordsman that PCGamer figures is pangolin-inspired. I know more than a few of you are wondering exactly what a pangolin is (I had to Google it). A pangolin is sort of like an armadillo but instead of having a hard shell the pangolin has a bunch of what look like armored scales covering its back.
The trailer for the two new heroes shows the swordsman jumping around acrobatically using his sword. In once part of the trailer he rolls into an armored ball and knocks his enemies out of the way. He sounds a lot like Antonio Banderas as Puss in Boots from the Shrek franchise when he talks. After the swordsman finishes his enemy trouncing the second hero shows up.
This one is a floating fairy-like creature that has a lantern with some sort of glowing creature inside. She looses that glowing creature to attack. The trailer stops before we get to see exactly what sort of attack the creature uses. I get the impression that the fairy creature isn’t a good guy from the trailer.
PCGamer says that the fairy creature matches with files uncovered back in May that hinted at a new character called Sylph. Both of the new playable characters for Dota 2 will land with the Dueling Fates patch and we don’t know when that patch will land at this time. Fans will be glad to get new characters, the last new character landed back in December.
