TrueCrypt 7.0 Released With Hardware-Accelerated AES

TrueCrypt, the free open-source disk encryption software for Windows 7/Vista/XP, Mac OS X, and Linux, has been updated to version 7.0! The biggest new feature for our readers would likely be the Hardware-accelerated AES! Those with Intel Core 2010 processors will be able to see a nice performance boost thanks the the new support.

Among the new features are hardware-accelerated AES, support for devices that use sector sizes other than 512 bytes, ability to configure a volume to be automatically mounted whenever its host device gets connected to the computer, favorites organizer, and more.
