Tomb Raider E3 2012 Trailer Shows New Game Direction

By

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have been busy working on a new game title to reboot the Tomb Raider franchise and we are finally able to see some of work paying off this weekend. The two companies have released a new game trailer for E3 2012 that is sure to get gamers excited.

Tomb Raider

The new Tomb Raider game title is coming to PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in March 2013 if all goes as planned. Some might recall that Tomb Raider was due to arrive this fall, but it was recently delayed in order for Crystal Dynamics to have enough time to “deliver the very highest quality game.”

As you can see in the trailer, there is a ton of Lara scampering and sneaking around, and even shows a compassionate young Croft apologizing before killing a deer to eat. And then she starts stabbing people and becoming the Laura Croft we all know and love.

A young Lara Croft has already proven herself to be a survivor, but one on the cusp of an extraordinary adventure. Caught in the clutches of an enigmatic island, Lara is captured by hostile natives and faced with a traumatic and character-defining decision. On this island, forces beyond her control leave Lara little alternative but to ruthlessly fight for her life.
