The Last of Us: Part 2 to Feature Factions Multiplayer

One of the things that fans of the original “The Last of Us” title really liked was the multiplayer portion of the game dubbed Factions. Players seriously embraced Factions and that multiplayer portion was a surprise hit. That Factions love left many wondering if “The Last of Us: Part 2” would have multiplayer modes in it.

That multiplayer inclusion has now been confirmed for Part 2 by Naughty Dog. Factions will be a big part of The Last of Us: Part 2 and the mode was confirmed by game co-director Anthony Newman in an Interview with GameSpot. The other co-director Kurt Margenau declined to give any details on the Factions multiplayer mode.

The new game takes place many years after the first game in the franchise and this time out players will play as Ellie. The game will only land for the PS4 and while we know it is coming, we have no idea when. So far Naughty Dog and Sony are mum on a date.

Co-director Kurt Margenau said, “Multiplayer is coming back. We’re not going to talk details yet about what form that takes, but we can confirm there will be multiplayer.”
