Tetris Effect Lands on PS4 November 9
A new puzzle game is coming to the PS4 on November 9 called Tetris Effect. The game will come with support for the PSVR headset. The Tetris franchise is one of the most popular game franchises out there with over 170 million games sold since its 1984 debut.
Tetris Effect will use color and sound to create a “sensory experience” for gamers. The game is from Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the same guy behind games like Rez and Child of Eden reports VentureBeat.
Gameplay for Tetris Effect seems similar to the original games but has some new twists to make it different. It looks very cool. There is no word on pricing for the game at this time.

Our goal was to make the experience of playing Tetris feel better than it ever has before, and I think everythingvisuals, music, and stage conceptsis firing on all cylinders on that front, Mizuguchi told GamesBeat in an interview. In addition to making the experience feel good, we were also motivated to find a way to introduce storytelling into the mix. Our intent was to find a way to update Tetris into a brand new kind of experience while still keeping it comfortable and familiar to anyone who has played Tetris before.
