Synology Announces the DiskStation DS1511+ NAS Server – Up to 15 Drives & 45TB
Synology has announced the release of the DS1511+, the successor to their popular flagship DiskStation, the DS1010+. The new five-bay NAS will accept up to two DX510 expansion units for a total of up to 15 drives. Using 15 3TB drives yields up to 45TB of storage. When it comes to performance you can expect up to 165.91 MB/sec Write and 197.8 MB/sec Read speeds under RAID 5 configuration in a Windows environment! The Synology DiskStation DS1511+ will cost $899 and should be available now.
