SuperTalent Announces TeraDrive PT3 SSD Series – SandForce 2200 Driven
Super Talent Technology recently announced their latest SATA III 6Gbps SSD, the TeraDrive PT3. The TeraDrive PT3 uses the SandForce 2200 processor (controller) and features Double Data Rate ONFi flash that Super Talent claims help give this drive a leg up over competing drives. In the video below Super Talent runs the popular ATTO benchmark and finds that the drive has 558 MB/s read and 526 MB/s read speeds. These scores rival what we saw in last weeks review on the OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G as it hit 559 MB/s read and 526 MB/s write using the very same SandForce processor along with ONFi flash. All of these SandForce 2200 driven drives are looking fast! The Super Talent TeraDrive PT3 Solid-State Drive is available in capacities of 60, 120, 240 and 480GB. No word on pricing, but Super Talent says the drives are shipping today.
