The completely ambidextrous mouse is designed to handle multiple grip types. The SteelSeries Sensei includes a set of side buttons on both the right and left side of the mouse. We used a palming grip with the mouse and it felt very comfortable even with larger hand testers. The sides are close enough in to allow a comfortable claw grip as well (using fingers to hold the mouse). Indentations on the side of the mouse give the thumb, ring and pinky fingers a place to rest if not in use. The sides also have more tactical resistance than the top making it easier to hold onto the mouse while in use.

The Steel Series Sensei is actually quite pleasing to look at. The top has a shiny gray finish and is sharply complimented by the black coloring of the buttons and scroll wheel. The bottom continues the black and has a UPE Teflon finish which is both functional (helping the mouse to move easily) and stylish.

The top of the SteelSeries Sensei lights up in three different locations. The logo on the back of the mouse can glow and the front has the scroll wheel and CPI switch indication light which can be illuminated; The customization options for the mouse allows the user to pick which lights turn on independently and select which colors are used for each of the three locations.

The bottom of the SteelSeries Sensei mouse also has a small LCD display which allows the user to see the SteelSeries brand name and changes when used to switch settings and profiles without the computer. It also has a perk I like to see in cabling for most wired electronics today, braided cords. Not only does it keep the wiring safer and keeps tangling of the cord to a minimum but it also looks good.
