Today, Sony has released a SmartWatch which connects to the internet through your smartphone using Bluetooth technology. You can check the weather, your email, Twitter, Facebook, etc. all through the SmartWatch’s 1.3 inch touchscreen. And of course, it tells the time too. The “Dick Tracy” model, available online and at Sony stores, retails for $150. According to Sony, additional apps for the SmartWatch are available at the Google Play online shop.
“SmartWatch provides access to live content and entertainment on the go,” said Sony Mobile Communications customer unit president Paul Hamnett, who billed it as the first in a series of gadgets to “expand the smartphone’s reach.”
