Sony HMZ-T1 3D OLED Head Mounted Display Arrives in November

Sony has announced that their first head-mounted OLED 3D display will arrive in stores in November just in time for the holiday rush. The cutting-edge, head mounted 1290×720 display will offer the equivalent of 750-inch display and comes with virtual 5.1 surround sound audio. The HMZ-T1 is due to launch on November 11 priced around $780. Sony does note that kids under 15 shouldn’t use the device however. Could this be the future in 3D viewing?

This unit of the newly developed 0.7-inch display with Sony’s proprietary technology and semiconductor technology “EL panels Organic HD” (1280 720) is installed. High-contrast organic EL panel, color reproduction, delivering high-quality HD video utilizing a fast response performance. Equipped with two panels on the right and left eyes for more, to achieve a 3D view and HD video with separate left and right, “this dual panel 3D” adopted. No cross-talk, you can enjoy 3D images in high-purity natural light. In addition, the adoption of an optical lens aberrations or distortions to thoroughly suppressed, wide field of view (wide horizontal viewing angle of 45 degrees) to achieve wide-screen movie theater class two can watch on.
