Sony Delays PS3 Motion Controller Until Fall 2010

By

Sony has announced that it will release its new, unnamed Motion Controller for the PlayStation 3 console in the Fall of 2010. This new motion controller will be packaged along with the existing DualShock controller as the “de facto” PS3 controller. The motion controller will be released first in Japan and other Asian regions and countries, then North America and Europe territories and will be released with an extensive line-up software titles. Combined with the PlayStation Eye Camera, the Motion Controller will be able to detect the natural and intuitive movement of the hand and reflect the precise movement within the game, delivering a whole new entertainment experience on PS3. First seen at 2009 E3, the new controller was expected to arrive no later than Spring of 2010 so this announcement is mixed news for Sony and its fans.
