Seagate BarraCuda Pro 10TB HDD Review
Performance w/ CrystalDiskMark and ATTO
CrystalDiskMark v5.1.2
CrystalDiskMark is a small benchmark utility for drives and enables rapid measurement of sequential and random read/write speeds.
On our test system we found that the Seagate BarraCuda Pro 10TB hard drive was able to top out at 242 MB/s read and 231 MB/s write in the sequential test. Not bad performance numbers from a 7,200 RPM desktop hard drive. Keeping in mind that this is a bulk data storage drive we can forgive the fact that the 4K random read and write scores are no where near that of a a modern SSD.
ATTO Disk Benchmark v3.05
ATTO is one of the oldest hard drive benchmarks that is still used today. ATTO measures transfers across a specific volume length. It measures raw transfer rates for both reads and writes and places the data into graphs that you can easily interpret. The benchmark test was run with file sizes from 0.5kb through 64MB with the total length being 256mb.
Benchmark Results: The Seagate Barracuda Pro 10TB HDD drive hit 246 MB/s read and 236 MB/s write in ATTO, which is a popular benchmark in the storage community.
