SanDisk Extreme III 4GB SDHC Flash Card
SanDisk Extreme III SDHC – 30MB/s
If you are serious about photography or video that means you already know about the need for faster high capacity Flash memory cards for storage. All too often you hear about people not capturing that perfect shot or spur-of-the-moment scene due to a full memory card or having to wait for the previous picture to save to the memory card. If you don’t like to take chances then the SanDisk Extreme III SD/SDHC memory card series is something that you need to take a look at.
The SanDisk Extreme III memory SDHC was designed from the ground up for DSLR camera users as the card features read/write speeds of up to 30MB/second. This means that when shooting in rapid succession (your cameras continuous shooting mode) the memory card should be able to keep up! Once you are done with your photo shoot you can then offload the photo/video content you shot at record rates with a card reader like the SanDisk ImageMate Multi-Card USB 2.0 Reader/Writer that supports cards of this speed. To top it all off the Extreme III also has write protection security feature that will not allow anyone to erase your files unless authorized. SanDisk Extreme III Secure Digital cards are available in 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB capacities,
but today we are taking a closer look at the 4GB version.
The 4GB SanDisk Extreme III SDHC Flash memory card (part number SDSDX3-004G-A31) comes in a rather large cardboard box with a clam shell package inside. Inside the clam shell you will find the SDHC card and a piece of paper with a serial number for RescuePRO. With RescuePro, you can easily recover accidentally deleted images, lost digital images or data from any SanDisk memory card, RescuePro recovers images documents, mail, video, music or just about anything. The recovery software is made by a company called LC Technology and a single machine license for Windows will cost you $40, so the included software is a nice touch.
Taking a closer look at the SanDisk Extreme III 30MB/s Edition SDHC card you can see that it is branded a Class 6 SDHC card, which is one of the fastest and most expensive SDHC cards on the market today. This series is rated up to 30MB/s or 200x speeds, which is fast as you are about to see.
