SanDisk 16GB SDHC Netbook Memory Card
Final Thoughts and Conclusions
The SanDisk Netbook SDHC removable flash memory card truly does offer consumers an easy and affordable way to significantly increase their netbooks storage capacity. The best part about the using an SDHC card to increase the storage space of a netbook is that you don’t have to pick up a screwdriver or remove any covers. Consumers simply insert the SanDisk Netbook SDHC card into a netbooks Secure Digital card slot like in the picture below and the rest is history.
The performance of this Class 2 speed rated netbook SDHC card left a little more to be desired, but you can always purchase a Class 4 or Class 6 rated SDHC card to bump up performance a little more. Just for fun we fired up a Class 6 card and the sequential read speed jumped up from an average of 10MB/s read and 6.5MB/s write on the SanDisk Netbook Class 2 card to 16MB/s read and 10MB/s write on the Class 6 card. The SanDisk Extreme III 16GB SDHC card that these speeds were seen with runs $99.99 shipped, which is significantly more than this $38.24 shipped card. For the Class 6 SDHC card price range you’d be better off going with a new internal SSD drive via the Mini PCIe slot as it costs less plus you’d get more storage space and better performance.
Legit Bottom Line: The SanDisk Netbook SDHC card series is a quick and easy way to upgrade the storage capacity on older netbooks that came with smaller drives that are now full.
