Samsung Admits Galaxy Fold Problems are Far From Resolved
Samsung has had significant embarrassments in the past with its phones catching fire resulting in multiple recalls. Samsung is more embarrassed now with the spectacular failure of the Galaxy Fold smartphone. No one knows how Samsung could have deemed the smartphones ready to roll only to have them fail within days of being in the hands of testers.
Samsung had pulled the Galaxy Fold from the market in April and rumors suggested that the smartphone would ship this month. An official has now stated that the company is nowhere near being able to resolve the issues that led to the Fold being pulled from the market reports Forbes.
The unnamed official stated, “Nothing has progressed since the April delay.” It would seem that Samsung has been unable to figure out how to addresses the issues that led to the screen failures on the Fold devices.
Samsung isn’t alone, Huawei has also announced a delay for its Mate X folding device, but that is likely due to the U.S. sanctions preventing it from accessing any US hardware. The spectacular failure of the folding device form factor could mean its years before devices hit the market.
