Rumor Says Apple’s AirPower Charging Mat is in Production

One of the Apple accessories that fans have been looking forward to is the AirPower wireless charging mat. Several of Apple’s gadgets can charge wirelessly, at the same time, if you have the charging device for them. That includes iPhones, Apple Watch, AirPods, and the AirPods charging case.

The AirPower wireless charging mat has been rumored for a long time now, but the latest report claims the device is currently in production. The rumor comes from a “credible source” inside the Apple supply chain reports MacRumors.

This source claims that Luxshare Precision, a Chinese manufacturer, has started production of the AirPower accessory. The same source claims that he has heard AirPower will launch soon.

Luxshare is the manufacturer of the AirPods for Apple, it being chosen to produce the AirPower is no surprise. The delay in launching the device had to do with overheating and interference issues according to rumors.
