Rumor: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti Specifications Surface

By

The specifications for NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce GTX 650 Ti have surfaced. It will be based on GK106, much like the GTX 660, however it has had two SMX units disabled. Total CUDA core count will sit at 576 with 1GB of GDDR5 memory on a 128-bit bus. Texture mapping units (TMUs) has dropped from 80 (GTX 660) to 48 on the GTX 650 Ti, ROPs will remain the same at 24. Clock speed will sit at 960 MHz on the core with no Boost clock, while the GDDR5 memory will be clocked at 1350 MHz (5400 MHz effective). The power draw on the card looks to be fairly light with it supposedly consuming somewhere around 75-85W, but with the addition of a 6-pin PCIe power connector the card’s maximum TDP is 150W. While it most likely will never reach that high, it does offer alot of room for overclocking. Overall if these specifications are true, NVIDIA will have a great entry-level graphics card for gamers that fills the void between the GTX 650 and GTX 660.
