Rosewill Thor XL-ATX Full Tower Gaming Case Review
Conclusion & Final Thoughts on the Rosewill Thor
Legit Reviews has looked at Rosewill cases in the past with the Rosewill Armor, and we were thoroughly impressed with the abilities of that mid tower from Rosewill. Today’s full tower case has gone above and beyond the call to impress me. The Rosewill Thor comes in at $149.99 with a 1 year warranty which is $50 cheaper than any other case with similar abilities.
The Thor itself bolsters both high airflow and a quiet design but did not feel the need to overtly over market this on the box or the case itself. The overall look is a great blend of swagger and class, with only a slight industrial and futuristic look to it.
Building in the Thor itself was also a great experience; everything was cut and fit just right. It was snug but did not take a lot of effort to get in. The screws were all nice and did not strip or break. Tool-less systems worked very well and held all devices securely. They even offer the ability to turn the LED’s off.
There’s not a whole lot bad I can say about the Thor. My sample showed up with a bad fan controller and that was a bit of a disappointment but everything else functioned properly. Considering lemons can happen and you run into problems from time to time I wouldn’t worry about that fluke too much. We contacted Rosewill about the issue as we were concerned if this was a widespread issue and they responded with this statement:
Rosewill sent out a new controller board and it looks like this was an isolated event. Other than that slight issue we still love this case and for $149.99 shipped it is hard to beat!
Legit Bottom Line: Rosewill’s Thor case is top of the line, with more features and space to build in than any other case at its price point. This is a solid case with an outstanding value earning it the Editors’ Choice Award.
