Results and Conclusion
We took our temperature readings using smcFancontrol on our 15″ MacBook Pro. The readings are displayed in real-time on the desktop for us as you can see here:
Temps were taken on a lapdesk that we use and then on the Rosewill RNA-7700 cooler pictured below:
We actually had some good results from using the cooler. We let the notebook idle for 15 minutes on the lapdesk and the cooler, and then got the temperature reading for both. For our load temps, we ran 2 instances of Prime95 for Mac, and after 15 minutes took the temperature reading. Our results:
