The Rosewill Capstone 750W PSU

If not for the color, one could
easily mistake the Rosewill Capstone for any generic power supply. The size of
the chassis is exactly as large as the ATX design guide suggests, ensuring the
compatibility of the power supply with any ATX compatible cases. There are no
logos, stickers or distinctive visual features anywhere about the power supply,
not even over the motor of the fan, with the exception of the sticker with the
electrical specifications at the top side of the unit. If not for the grainy,
rough black paint, there would not be any distinction between this unit and a
$15 generic product.

Top side sticker

The only sticker of the power supply
covers the entire top side of the chassis, with the unit’s electrical
specifications and certifications printed on it. Amongst the most notable
features of this power supply is the specification of the single 12V line,
which can output the entire capacity of the power supply all by itself.

Rear Side

This unit is not modular and thus the
rear side of the unit is entirely clean, save from the basic hole where all of
the hardwired cables come out from. The large number of cables might prove to
be a challenge inside small cases with simple systems.

The cables of this power supply are
sleeved and the connectors are black, the basic but effective approach when it
comes to quality cable management. There are four 8-Pin PCI Express connectors,
five Molex connectors, eight SATA connectors and one floppy connector, as well
as the standard 24-pin ATX and a 4+4 pin EPS12V connectors.

Front Side

Much like any other modern power
supply, the front side of the Rosewill Capstone 750W had to be perforated for
the warm air to escape to the outside of the case. For that purpose, the
company went with a large aperture honeycomb design. There is also a standard
on/off switch.
