Rockstar Reveals Max Payne 3 PC Requirements

By

Rockstar has unveiled the PC requirements for Max Payne 3 and, to put it simply, they look insane! The game, which is being developed in parallel on PC and console, will use DirectX 11 from the get go and will of course utilize tessellation, alongside numerous other advanced graphics technologies. The game looks to scale across hardware fairly well, with the minimum being an Intel Dual Core at 2.4 GHz or an AMD dual core at 2.6 GHz, with 2GB of system RAM and an NVIDIA 8600GT 512MB or AMD Radeon HD 3400 512MB. Now for the real fun; the recommend requirements which Rockstar has listed as being either Intel’s Core i7 3930K hex core or AMD’s FX 8150 octo core, with 16GB system ram and either NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 680 or AMD’s Radeon HD 7970. Let’s not forget the game will require 35GB of HDD space, which may be a problem for those using lower capacity SSDs. These specs quite simply have this game looking like the next system killer if the requirements are anything to go by. Max Payne 3 will release on PC May 29th in North America and June 1st in Europe.
