Rocket League Progression Update Ditches Level Cap
Rocket League fans have an update coming next week that will change how things in the game progress. The update will roll out on all platforms on August 29 and is called the Progression Update. A week after the update lands, the Rocket Pass will launch. The Rocket Pass will be $9.99.
Progression Update will see XP earned in online matches as opposed to offline matches. The update will also remove the level cap of 75 and reduces the amount of XP needed to advance levels. Players will also earn a random item of uncommon or better quality as they level up.
Level titles are unlocked at certain XP milestones, but all titles that players have already earned will remain after the update. Clubs are being added to allow gamers to organize and compete as a team under a custom tag with up to 20 members reports Polygon.
The Rocket Pass is a premium service that gets players all the new content for the currently running event in the game. All that content can be earned as unlockables via free play. It will take you about 100 hours to unlock all that content you can buy for $9.99.
