Revisiting the BitFenix Colossus Black PC Case
Impressions of the production BitFenix Colossus
At first glance there doesnt seem to be a change to the case, but look a little closer at the BitFenix logo.
The logo with the system off is a nice white color.
On the prototype it was frosted like the bands around the front bezel.
The side panel paint color is not the same as the prototype. Now the top and front bezel with the SoftTouch coating match a little closer to the new side panel paint color.
Looking inside the BitFenix Colossus there were only a couple of changes we could see.
The first was on the side panel light power connection. On the prototype this was a cable with a connector on the end. Now it is a nice connection that is stuck to the inner side of the panel.
The inside surface of the S3 compartment has been updated. In the prototype this was grayish white on the inside. The USB3 connections and circuit board are still exposed. This is not big issue by any means as the Colossus doesnt have a side panel window. Those that are uptight over the clean look, side window or not, may take issue with this.
