At Computex 2010 we managed to find ECS Elitegroups booth by keeping our eyes open and finding a booth back to help guide us to our destination. Once there we found that ECS was showing off everything from new tablets to 3D touch screen systems. It turns out that ECS has also updated their Black Edition motherboard series and now feature more of and black and gray motif.
We had a chance to stop by and meet with EVGA at Computex 2010 and found that they are showing off their first ever PC case! The case doesn’t have a name yet, but it has been developed to properly enclose their massive $599.99 EVGA Classified Super Record 2 (SR-2) motherboard. we have pictures from both of the original case prototypes that are a must see.
Day 1 was a busy one with lots of walking and learning the two different halls of display at Computex. Along the way we managed to get some time with Thermaltake and look at a few of their new products. Thermaltake continues to evolve their existing product line without making drastic price changes.
One of the major forces at Computex is Gigabyte as they are heavily invested in this show. We took a few minutes today to take a look at a few of their products on display at their booth. The recently launched GA-X58A-UD9, and 5870 Overclock were on hand to back up Gigabyte’s devotion to gamers and enthusiats, with a few laptops and tablets to keep mobile users happy.
OCZ is showing off their HSDL (High Speed Data Link) interface, RevoDrive PCIe SSD and Vertex 2 1.8-inch SSDs this week at Computex 2010. Corsair is showing off a bunch of products for the very first time this year at Computex 2010 here in Taipei! One of the most interesting is their first case in the Graphite series that will be called the 600T. The Corsair Graphite 600T is a mid-tower PC case that is due to come out to the market later this summer for right around $150. Corsair also shows off fully modular power supplies and brings LED memory lights back from the dead with Airflow Pro.

What SF-1200 based SSD should I buy? I have been asked that question numerous times in recent weeks and to be honest it’s a great question. Rumors were going around that OCZ Technologies had a special firmware revision that uncaps random 4K write performance on their Vertex 2 series, but other companies like Corsair offer Sandforce SF-1200 series controllers in their Force series and do not have the performance cap.
