Red Dead Redemption 2 to have Special Edition Version

Fans of the Red Dead games have been wanting for years for the second entry in the franchise to land. That game will finally land this year and there will be special editions. Details are scant on what these special editions will be right now, in fact, all we really know is that they are coming.

Rockstar has promised to announce the first details on Red Dead Redemption 2 special editions in June. Specifically, Rockstar said, “Special Editions” notes GameSpot seemingly making it clear there will be more than one of them to enjoy.

Special edition games today often come in digital deluxe and editions with physical items as well like statues, books, and posters. Presumably, there will be some of that in the mix for Red Dead Redemption 2.

The talk of special editions came in a Rockstar PR that was focused more on the new screenshots of the game than anything else. In that PR Rockstar said, “Stay tuned for more Red Dead Redemption 2 info next month including first details about the game’s special editions and more.” E3 is in June so expect the news to come at the show.
