Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon 700 Series
Qualcomm looks to be launching an SoC series taht that sits between the premium Snapdragon 800 series and mainstream Snapdragon 600 processors. The newly announced Snapdragon 700 Mobile Platform Series will be shipping to customers 1H 2018 and will include advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) support on-device as well as improvements to the camera and overall device performance and power. Qualcomm hasn’t announced specific Snapdragon 700 SoC models just yet, but that will likely be coming out soon.

Devices powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 series will have the following improvements over the Snapdragon 600 series:
Performance: Snapdragon 700 Series products will 2x more AI performance and be up to 30% more power efficient.
Camera: Qualcomm Spectra ISP will allow for professional grade camera features
Battery: Snapdragon 700 Series have Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology, engineered to get up to 50% charge in only 15 minutes.
Connectivity: Ultra-fast LTE, carrier Wi-Fi features, and enhanced Bluetooth 5.
