The first benchmark I ran was a simple FTP benchmark test. For this I fired up Windows using Bootcamp on my Mac Pro, and install SmartFTP (4.0.1155.0) and simply connected to the NAS and transferred an almost 2GB file.

The speeds of the upload (Computer to NAS), reached a max speed of 24 MB/s with an average speed of 18MB/s.

I then tested the downloads speeds (NAS to Computer), and was a bit shocked to see the speeds only reach 24MB/s with an average speed of 20MB/s
