Prolimatech Super Mega CPU Cooler Review
Looking over the Super Mega
The Super Mega is a twin tower cooler that has two separate coloums of fins connected to 6 U shaped heat pipes. The fins are a mostly aluminum, with a couple of sections being copper, and the top layer is stainless for the bling factor. Coming in at 158.7mm tall and 945.3g the Super Mega is aptly named.
The Super Mega has a nice fin spacing and the heatpipes are all in line with each other. Prolimatech says the Super Mega can be used with fans operating in the 800-1200 RPM range, but for best performance a 1600 RPM fan is suggested.
Each of the fins is made up of two pieces that interlock and clamp around the heat pipe.
The very top fin is made of stainless steel and has been polished to give the Super Mega a little bling.
Moving down to the base of the cooler there are two holes in the top of the base. These are for the mounting system cross bar to lock into; we will see more on that in the next section.
Flipping the Super Mega over and looking at the bottom of the base we can see the finish. Its not a mirror, but it is smooth.
It also looks to have a small hint of a bow to it as well.
