Possible Bomb Dry Run Using Toner Cartridges Gets World Attention

It’s already hard enough to get through airport security with or to ship items of a technological nature and it looks like it could get even tougher. In what looks like a dry run for sending explosives through the mail system, authorities have identified mock bombs comprised of toner cartridges, wires and white powder. These were found on flights inbound from Yemen. There will surely be more to follow as this story continues to break.

Two suspicious devices were found on U.S.-bound cargo flights from Yemen overnight, the White House said Friday, triggering searches of other cargo flights that had landed in the U.S. and an investigation into whether al-Qaida was behind a new plot. Sources told NBC News that both devices were toner cartridges that had wires and white powder.
