PNY Launches The Verto GeForce GT 640 Graphics Card

PNY Technologies today announced the release of the Verto GeForce GT 640 1024MB DDR3 graphics card. This new entry-level NVIDIA 28nm Kepler card features the GK107 GPU that has 384-CUDA cores running at 900MHz. This card has a a power draw of just 65 Watts when active and does not require any additional power as the 75 Watts from the PCI Express slot is enough. The price tag on the PNY GeForce GT 640 (VCGGT640XPB) is said to be $109 in the press release, but the PNY website has the card listed for $129. We aren’t sure which is correct.
