Plantronics Discovery 975 Bluetooth Headset Review
Discovery 975 – Whats in the Box
Once again, Plantronics provides its users with everything you need to get up an going within minutes of opening the package. Even though the recommendation written in the manual says that you should charge your headset at least over night, there is already some charge on the headset and you can start using the headset right away.
Besides the earpiece and charging case, Plantronics includes three sizes of gel eartips, an AC charger and a case strap just in case you want to attach the case to your key ring or bag. Unfortunately, there was no car charger included, but when you consider that the standby time of the Discovery 975 is 7 days and a whooping 21 days with the carrying case, you probably will not miss the ability to charge the headset in the car.
If we compare the Plantronics Discovery 975 to the older Discovery 925, we see what looks to be a natural upgrade of the 925s design. The old Disco 925 is comfortable in fact, one of the most comfortable headsets we have ever used, and the newer 975 retains that design. This design is far and away the most unique way of securing a headset to your ear and we appreciate Plantronics keeping it and hope this spurs developers to be unique with other designs.
