Even before you use this headset, it oozes with quality and style. At $150 for a Bluetooth set, you need more than just a functional headpiece. With the Discovery 925, you get a lot more than your plain everyday headset. Plantronics has included its own charging case along with an AC charger and micro-USB adaptor to give you an almost unlimited number of different ways to keep your 925 up and running. Plantronics is the first company we have seen to use the micro-USB interface which is a smaller version of the normal USB (or Mini-B) that is designed exclusively for handheld and mobile devices.

There are three different sized Eartips included in the box. You will notice that there is no ear hook or another device to provide more stabilization for the 925. These custom-fit eartips are made out of some form of silicone gel that do an amazing job keeping the Discovery 925 in your year and attached. We really never had any problems whatsoever in how the headset sat in our ear and they were incredibly comfortable.

The included charging case looks a lot like a lipstick holder, but having this extra device really sets the headset above others. The case not only protects the small and lightweight headset from damage when not being used, it also contains a nickel metal hydride rechargeable battery so that you can keep the Discovery unit functioning with power. Plantronics estimates that the battery charger can charge a completely dead 925 to full charge using this method. This is one of the reasons why the standby time for the 925 is more than 7 days. Pretty impressive.

Initial charge time for the unit was less than three hours with the wall adapter. Plantronics makes it very easy for you to charge both the headset and the charging case. You can simultaneously charge both case and headset by simply placing the Discovery 925 in the case and charge the case.
