PhotoFast PowerDrive-LSI PCIe SSD Announced With Up To 1500MB/s Speeds

PhotoFast today revealed its new line up of PCI-Express SSDs. The new GM-PowerDrive-LSI PCIe SSD is a storage device that PCI-Express 2.0 x 8 and available in 256GB/512GB/1TB of storage capacity. The Drive is stated to offer maximum read and write speeds of up to 1400 MB/sec. and 1500 MB/sec respectively. The PCIe SSDs also feature support for 512-Mbyte DDR2 800MHz on-board SDRAM cache memory. The drives will be available later this month, but the MSRP of the drives will limit who can afford one of these PCI-Express SSDs. The smallest capacity available is 240GB and it has a hefty price tag of $1,670. The 480GB drive runs $2360 with the 960GB drive costing $4,300.
